Somewhere around the ninth listen, I opened a registrar in another tab. — A decision made in under 90 seconds

The domain was unregistered. A national ad campaign had been pointing at an empty lot for months. So I bought it, because leaving it there felt like litter.

What you're looking at is the follow-through. Somebody had to build the website. Squarespace only made the commercial.

The domain is real. This website is real. The seat cushion company itself was written for a Squarespace commercial and has never existed. The only thing you can buy here is a $3 PDF about the history of cushions, which is also real, and which I wrote.
